About the Organization
The System Management Unit (SFE) is the Swedish Armed Forces' organization for managing IT systems, applications, and master data. The unit's task is to maintain and develop functional, secure, and robust IT systems to support the operational capability of the Armed Forces.
Web System Section
Where the position is located develops and will manage/further develop web applications internally within the Armed Forces' IT domains but also externally in cloud environments. The work is driven according to agile development methodology.
Main Responsibilities
As a system developer, you will be part of the application team responsible for the development, adaptation, and maintenance of approximately 20 applications. You will work on adapting, developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting the codebase in the applications in close collaboration with your team.
The team operates with a high degree of autonomy and consists of cross-functional competencies such as developers, testers, requirements managers, and application owners (Product Owners). As a system developer, you will be offered the opportunity to develop your skills. With your experience, you will contribute to design and architectural decisions that take us further into the future. The main task will be one of our major systems.

Areas of Responsibility
- Change management
- Clarify business needs with the business and application owner
- Maintain and develop the team's backlog with the application owner
- Evaluate solution alternatives with the business and application owner
Implementation
- Translate business needs (usually user stories) into code
- Develop/configure automated builds, installations, and tests with Microsoft Azure DevOps
Incident and Problem Management
- Troubleshooting and analysis
- Support for operations technicians, application owners, and testers
Work Methods/Business Development
- Support the development of the organization's work methods
- Support the organization with technical expertise
- Participate in cross-organizational collaborations

Qualifications
- Education in System Development from a university, college, or equivalent knowledge level through work experience.
- Experience in management/development within Microsoft .Net
- Experience in test automation (e.g., unit/model/UI tests)
- Experience in troubleshooting and end-user support
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
- Good knowledge of DevOps work
- Experience working with agile methodologies
- Good ability to express oneself pedagogically in speech and writing in Swedish

Other
Work location: Enköping.
Start date according to agreement.
The position is a permanent civilian employment with a 6-month probationary period for those not employed within the Armed Forces.
